There are shapes that belong to an era. And then there are shapes that, when rediscovered, prove they have never stopped speaking to the present.

Aquaflex was born from this idea: to retrieve one of the most recognizable geometries from Mondia watchmaking between the late 1960s and early 1970s — the cushion case — and give it new life, without turning it into a simple replica of the past.

The result is a watch that retains the sculptural strength of archival shapes, while reinterpreting its proportions, materials, and details with a contemporary sensibility. A synthesis of memory and design, between the character of sports watchmaking from another era and the Swiss Made precision that still defines Mondia’s identity today.

Aquaflex is also the first protagonist of Mondia Swiss's new DROPS channel: a different way of presenting our creations, one model at a time, one story at a time.

For this first release, we have chosen to make a strictly limited selection of pieces available. Not a collection lost in the noise of a catalog, but a single project to observe, get to know, and collect.
